Today was grocery shopping day, which for most people isn't an enjoyable day but when you save over 50% on your bill you can get a little excited - even to the point of taking a picture and posting it on your blog. Today I spent $150 and saved $165. Buying over 130 items makes it about 0.90 cents an item. It wasn't just little things either, we bought...
- 4 packs of diapers for the baby on the way
- 3 Tide laundry detergent boxes
- 10 sodas
- 5 cases of capri suns
- over 30 easy macs - a favorite for Kate
- napkins
- 6 cans of chili
- 2 Dryers Ice-creams
- 30 protein bars

- 4 boxes of toaster strudels
- 6 bags of plastic cups
- 4 bags of Lays chips
- 2 fudge shoppe cookies
- 3 Ultimate toppings DiGiorno frozen pizzas
- 4 blocks of kraft cheese
- and a few other things.
It's a lot of stuff but your probable wondering where's your dinner foods? I already have everything I needed for dinner this week from past grocery shopping weeks. So here's toshopping smart and loving it! PS I'm holding up my grocery receipt which is almost as tall as me. :)
Then our family went to the Hogle Zoo because it was FREE! After only being there for an hour and a half I know why it was free because there weren't a lot of animals out and it was COLD. However, Kate, Austin and Brooke loved it. Kate's favorite part was the gorilla who sat against the wall and ate. After the zoo we stopped and ate some lunch at Chick-fil-a. It's been a GREAT day!
