What a Day!!!

Today started off like any other Saturday. Got up, ate breakfast, got ready, and headed out the door to do family errands when we saw a package by our front door for Kate. It was her birthday present from Grandpa and Grandma French. That was all that was needed to change the pace of the day. Everyone got something new and special. Kate got some "Moon Sand" and she absolutely loves it. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma French.
Spencer got a new Weed Whacker. And I got a new Bosch mixer. I couldn't help but to test it out and make some wheat bread.

Water Days

Both yesterday and today Kate, Austin and Brooke got to play in the pool. They all had so much fun! Water and kids go together like Spencer and football, me and blogging and summer nights and a bowl of ice-cream. Hey, that sounds good right about now.

2 Years Old

Today my little girl turned two years old. We started off the day going to the park for a picnic with all her friends. There we sang Happy Birthday and had some cupcakes. Symon gave her a little golf set that seemed to be a big hit for all the boys. Kate just ran around with them. Here's the cake I made for her - it's a bug. Anyone who knows Kate knows that she loves all kinds of creepy-crawlers. After pizza for dinner (her favorite) she got to blow out the candle and open presents. Her big present was a little kitchen set. I think we'll be doing a lot of pretend eating in the near future. Here are some fun pictures of Kate in her Birthday dress. So Cute. And some fun and favorite pictures from the past year.

Memorial Weekend

This memorial weekend Cam and Emily and their family came to spend the weekend here with us. We had such a great time. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Saturday: Emily and I went shopping and then met up with the guys and the kids for lunch at the mall. After we we're all full we went to the water park. It was a little colder than planned so Em and I just put our feet in and slowly worked our way in. We got some Habachi House chicken and noodles for dinner and then ended the night with the movie "Taken" - which was really good.Sunday: We all went to church together and then we all took naps - it was so nice! We had family and friends come over for a Sunday BBQ that was really yummy. The weather cleared up just in time for the kids to play outside. Monday: Monday morning the kids lounged around and watched a few cartoons. Cam and Em headed off to do some shopping and we headed to Provo Canyon to meet up with my family for a picnic. It was still a bit too cold up in the mountains for us gals but the guys sure loved it!

It was such a great weekend. Spencer and I really enjoyed having Cameron and Emily come down and spend some time with us. We hope they had as much fun as we did!

Florida 2009

We just got back from our trip to Florida today and like always had a marvolous time. Of course Kate wanted to jump right into the pool and she didn't waste anytime once we got to my parents home. Once everyone got settled in Spencer and I left for our own little vacation while my parents watched Kate. We went to St. Pete beach and had a great time. However, a word to the wise... when using spray on sunblock be sure the wind isn't blowing and you rub it in afterwards. If not, then you might get the Zebra look like I gave to Spencer. The next day we all went to the beach and Kate had a blast! She loved the open space, the water and even the sand. (last year she acted like a city girl and wouldn't touch the sand) We also got to feed the ducks and water the bushes right after a rain storm
The last day we were there it was rainy so we went to the Orlando Science Center and had so much fun. Here are just a few of the the fun things we did there like pick oranges from the tree and watch how they go from the grove to the cartinSpencer couldn't help him self - he had to jump in on the action
Kate likes to fly a plane and drive a train
My mom showed her how to mike a cow. Of course my dad claimed the title of best milk getterThere was so much to do and one of the stations there was called "Grossology" It was a room full of all the gross things your body does. They even had a giant digestive play area where you enter the through the mouth and come out through the rectum - Kate was the cutest poop!We got to experience hurricane strength winds (which Kate didn't care much for), build waterways for boats, feed baby alligators and dig for dionasours bones.

It was such a fun trip. Thanks Dibo (Grandpa) and Mamoo (Grandma) for a fun time in the sunny and rainy state of Florida.
