Pretty Funny Face

For as long as Spencer and I have been married, him and Adam have been tossing this hat back and forth and for the past few years it has been given to each other at Christmas time.  It was our turn to give the hat to Adam and we decided to get creative this time around.  So I took these awesome pictures of Spencer, enlarged them and then printed them off.  We cut around them so just his face and shoulders were left.  Then we, very sneaky-like, went over to Adam's house while we were up in Idaho and taped them up in funny places.  One was hanging in the microwave, one peeking out from behind the milk, in Adam's sock drawer and at eye level above the toilet. We hid 8 of them in different places.

When Adam went home that evening he laughed pretty hard as he found them.  So did we, so did we.

Christmas in Idaho

We made our way up to Idaho to have Christmas with Spencer's family.  We all got together for breakfast then opened presents.

We all got some great stuff.
Jake lovin' on his gift from Grandma and Grandpa.

The girls playing with there new toys and being silly - nothing new here.
We left around 6 and were blessed with the best present - Jake sleeping the whole way home. YAY!
Until next year!

Parson's Dance Company

Last night Mama, my mom, my little sister, Kate and I took a trip to Park City to go see a friend from High School dance with his dance company.  It was a girls night out. Spencer and my dad stayed home to watch Bree and Jake. Spencer had no desire to see some dancer, half of them male and in tights so there were no complaints when I asked him to watch the two youngest.
Kate loved it!  She asked me if she could go dance on the stage with the dancers about a dozen times. Mama first comment about the show after it was over was how nice of bodies the male dancers had.  My mom and Nicole both got bored with how long some of the routines ran.  As for me, I enjoyed it just wished it was closer so we didn't have to make the long trip there and back in a snow storm.

After the show that lasted about an hour and a half Kate said to Nicole, "Hey NaNa, did you see those dancers?  They were awesome!"  We all laughed.

Peace and Quite

Bree needed to take her nap but was fighting so Kate went in to try and calm her down.  When I walked by their room I could hear Kate singing the songs "Popcorn Popping and I Love to See the Temple" (Bree's two favorites right now).  Then before I knew it there was peace and quite.  The house was silent  and still.  All 3 kiddos were sleeping at the same time.  A little peace of heaven is what I like to call it.  Heaven.

Kate's Kindergarden Christmas Program

This morning was the Kindergarden Christmas Program Where the kids sang and danced for us parents.  Jake, Bree and I went and had a wonderful time.
Bree sitting and waiting so patiently.

After their program we wished Mrs. Dalton a Merry Christmas.
As we left the school Kate yells, "Christmas Break - No more school!  Party in the House tonight!"

Edgar the Elf is HERE!

Our Elf came and this time it's a he and his name is Edgar.

Kate was super excited and has a perm-a-grin.  Bree's not sure what all the excitement is about but had no problem joining in all the fun.

1st Snow Fall

With just over an inch of snow Spencer took the girls to go plow with him.
 They loved it!
Kate took off to play in the snow as soon as the 4 wheeler stopped.

We celebrated my 29th birthday today even though my actual birthday is tomorrow.  Spencer and I went out to dinner then he took me shopping.  When we came back home we had cake and ice cream with my parents and Rachel and Anthony.  It was a great day!

Runway Fun Day

Brooke had a sleepover and they put on a runway show for us.

Yep, those are Christmas ornaments hanging off their ears.

Kate could only handle the couture look for so long before she busted out with her silly side.
 Panties for a hat...?

Mom's Birthday

All the girls went out to Blue Lemon for my mom's birthday.  I have to take a minute here to brag about how great my dear mother is.  She an upbeat, caring, happy, fun, crafty and all in all wonderful lady.  She's a great example to be of how to treat others and I love how much she adores her family.  She's the BEST!

The Girl's Tree

For Family Night we took the family to get the girls their tree.  Kate's good friends Alyssa came with us   to help pick out a tree and then decorate it.  While we were looking at the different trees Bree found a very tired farm dog and decided she would be his best friend.  The big dog just laid there while she poked and rubbed and even sat on him.
It didn't take long before Kate found the perfect tree.

Good thing too because it was cold outside and as Spencer got the tree cut and paid for, we warmed up by the fire.
Spencer's not just good looking but very strong too!  He carried in the tree with one hand.
Helping Spencer put the tree in the right spot
 Let the decorating begin...

Kate and Alyssa did most the of the decorating with Bree helping here and there
 Ta-Da!  All done and beautiful.

Friday Night FUN

Last night we took the kids and my parents to the Sandy Fun Center.  They have everything there and the girls decided to go roller skating and play in the jungle playground.

The package we got came with some tokens and Spencer quickly claimed those for him to use.  He hit the jackpot on one of the games and got over 100 tickets.
The girls really loved the place!  They even got Spencer to climb on in with them.  He had to crawl everywhere because it was small. It was funny to watch. He's such a fun dad!
