The Dirty Dash
The Worlds Muddiest Race
They encourage you to dress up.... so naturally we went for a Greek God and Goddess
All white and pretty now but not for long!
My dad and Mama came to cheer us on.
The obstacles were no simple task but were fun nonetheless
For those of you who don't know Spencer is part penguin meaning he is an excellent belly slider.
He just kept going.... and going... and going
Until there was no more mud and he came to an abrupt halt.
Yep, I love this guy - mud everywhere and all!
My parents - my mom was our personal photographer - Thanks Mom!
After 6.2 miles and about 10 obstacles we were at the end of the race. Just one last mud pit to jump into and then cross the finish line.

SPLASH!
Spencer waited for me so we could cross the finish together. Isn't he great.
They gave us some yummy treats after the race and I've never tasted a peach that good!
They also provided ice cold showers for people to rinse off with. I could only do that rinse off but there were some who were taking full on showers - not a pretty sight.
The drive back home wasn't as fast as I wanted it to be but when we did get home I headed straight for the shower. To be warm and clean is all I wanted. Both Spencer and I had a blast It's not very often you get to get this dirty and have this much fun with your husband when you've got two little ones at home. Until next year Dirty Dash.
