2 Month Stats

Bree turned 2 months on the 23rd. However, she just had her well check up and she's right on - just like she read the book.
Weight: 10 lbs. 15 oz. (50%)
Length: 23 in. (75%)
Head Cir.: 25%

Everything pretty much the opposite of Kate when she was this age. The only category Kate was ever above the 25th percentile was her head circumference. So looks like Bree is going to be Kate's opposite.
Bree's loves to nibble on her hands, in fact she'll often spit out her binky for her hands. She's cooing all the time now and will give pretty much anyone a smile. She is sleeping about 7 hours at night and always wakes up with lots of smiles for me. I've gotten her to laugh only two times but i know with in the next few weeks that won't be hard to do at all. She's such a good baby and we are so blessed to have her in our lives.

Pumpkin Contest

Attention Everyone... we have a pumpkin growing!!! When we got back from our Idaho trip I checked our garden and to my surprise this little guy was growing. And grow he shall... because we planted the GIANT pumpkin seeds.
So I decided to do a contest... to enter just leave a comment on how much you think this pumpkin will weigh in 11 weeks, (that's when we plan to carve it) The person closest with out going over will win a Halloween prize. Here's a few things to consider before making your guest...

* the seeds were planted in 4 feet of top soil

* the pumpkin gets watered 3 times a week

* I've caught Spencer a few times now singing, massaging and whispering sweet nothings to it

So be brave a make a guess... you might just win!!!

French Family Fun

It's been a tradition that every summer Spencer's family gets together for a few days. We headed up to Idaho a day early to make sure we got to see the great grandparents. It was their first time seeing Bree and it was good to talk to them as well.
This year we went to Island Park Idaho for some 4-wheelin', hot tubin' and boatin'. We all rented a cabin on Bills Island where everyone stayed. Thursday night we played the newly-wed game. It was fun to see how well we knew our spouses. Not really sure who won, but it didn't matter because we all got prizes from Spencer.
Friday we kind of got a slow start to the day but we were out on the lake by 2. The kids and the adults for a matter of fact had a blast being pulled on the tube by the boat. That night everyone did their family skits. All were way cute!
Before we knew it, it was Saturday morning - our last full day. That morning we went to Big Springs to feed the seagulls…I mean fish. Later that day we were back on the boat. This time I got on the tube with Ebony, Emily and Hannah. We had so much fun!
Sunday morning we ended our trip with a little spiritual meeting. It was the perfect ending to a perfect trip. I know that both Spencer and I enjoyed time with everyone and Kate had a blast with her cousins. Bree did well too. In fact, she was definitely spoiled with all the loves, hugs, and holdings she got. We are so grateful to be a part of such a wonderful family! Can't wait until next year!!!

Skits
Logan, Hannah and Chase danced to "Evolve". Chase was the cutest monkey around
We were Alvin and the Chipmunks and sang "We are Family". Kate was so done with the song after listening to it the whole way up to Idaho, she exited stage left right away. Luckily Hannah got a picture before she left.
Cam's group danced to Michael Jackson's "Thriller". Half way through I heard a shout out from Cory saying he was better. Awe yes, maybe so in his glory days but they had Gage doing the "thriller" moves too and he's only 3.
Adam's group did a funny skit about JC Penny's. They had us all laughing.Cory and Becky A.K.A Chief tub-a-love and Indian Princess Talk-a-lot danced to Indian music while Logan read a story Becky wrote. They were AWESOME!
Terry and Ebony did the song "You for Me and Me for You" I have to give Terry a 10 for not only knowing the song this year but singing it out loud too. Ebony only got about 5 words in due to laughing too hard and her teeth not staying in her mouth.
Random Fun

You didn't think Spencer would leave his Mistress, Bertha Blackberry behind, did you?

Fun Stuff

Princesses On Parade
Kate loves anything and everything to do with princesses. Especially their dresses. About 2 times a day she gets all dressed up and that includes a crown that she wears backwards, clip on dangle earrings, a bracelet, a black necklace, her twirly dress - it's only a princess dress if it twirls, and shoes. Then she twirls and sings all through the house.
Family Fun
This past weekend Adam and his family came down for a little vacation. Aubrey loved to hold and snuggle Bree. In fact they all did and I'm sure she loved it. On Wednesday we all went to Bridal Vail Falls in Provo for a picnic and to play in the falls.
Growing...
Spencer taught my class on Sunday and the lesson was on Samson hence the reason for the wig. Kate got a hold of it and wanted to put it on.
Spencer and I were so nervous about our garden growing anything because we were novice gardeners. No need to worry after this years crop... yes that zucchini is as tall as Kate. It's been so fun to eat stuff right out of the garden and it all tastes so good!
