Broken Wrist

Is there any surprise here?
No, it was just a matter of when with this wild monkey.

Kate broke both bones in her left wrist.  She was jumping off the couch and landed funny on her wrist.  After a day of her not using her arm - even when she thought we weren't watching, we took her in to see Eric (my cousin who's a PA for a orthopedic surgeon).  The proof was in the x-ray and a pink cast was slapped on.  Good news is they now make water proof casts and it only has to be on for 3 or 4 weeks.  So it really hasn't done any damage to our summer fun.  Plus it's so little it's kind of cute.

Marysvale, Utah

Spencer and I took a few days vacation to Marysvale Utah to go 4 wheeler ridin'.  His parents and our good friends Corbin and Natalie played with us too.  We had a fun riding, hiding, and playing cards at night.  The views were amazing and the trails were fun.  We got dusted, rained on, and Spencer got blanket burned.  We saw some deer, turkeys, lots of ground squirrels, and the biggest mushroom ever!  We stopped a lot and for snacks, milkshakes, and to look at the map for the next trail to take.  We ate some yummy food at a Bed & Breakfast that was a little trashy and almost out of everything.  I won a game of Take It.  We missed our girls.  We enjoyed the time together.  We had a great time!

4 Wheelin' to the Pond

My parentsan us headed up to the Mountains to do some ridin'.  It was the first time is year and everyone was really excited.  Kate and Bree were all giggles.

All was going swell until my dad's 4 wheeler died - some electrical problem.  Luckily we weren't too far from where we parked the trucks and we were able to pull his 4 wheeler back.  We were going to have to end our ride short but at the last moment when my dad's 4 wheeler was in his trailer he try to start it up again and low and behold it started.  So off we were again.  We went up a mountain side and about half was up it died again from over heating.  We could see this was going to be a problem so we pulled out the blanket and talked for a bit while it cooled down.  About 30 minutes later we were off again and my dad and mom were able to coast to a pond where Kate and Bree played in the mud.  This time it was gone for sure and we pulled  my parents back to the trucks.  It was fun and some funny memories were made.

Crazy Hair

Just look at that hair... it's out of this world craziness.
And somewhere in the madness is a little blue bow - for the girlie touch.
