We took a trip to Idaho and had a chance to visit the grandparents and play with the family in Island Park. It was a lot of fun!!
Visiting Grandma Donna at her home. She had lots of raspberries we got to pick and eat. We also got to feed the horses which Kate loved but Bree was a little hesitant on petting them.
We got to visit Grandma and Grandpa Scott. It was an emotional visit for Spencer as he was very close to his grandparents growing up and his grandma now has dementia and doesn't know who anyone is anymore and his grandpa's health is also declining quickly. We were glad to see them.
The first day we arrived in Island Park we rode our 4-wheelers to the top of Saw Tail. It was a long ride but amazing view when we got to the top. On the way up there we made a wrong turn and got separated from the group. After looking for some time Kate said, "Lets pray because Heavenly Father will help us find them" So we said a prayer and found them in just 5-10 minutes. It was a good experience and was neat to see Kate learning to pray for help.
Good Morning! All the grand children. Girls winning 6-4
Kate, Kenadee, Aubrey and Becky hanging out on the beach at Henry's Lake.
Cory just chilling in the tent.
Kate with her younger cousin Gage. Yep he is a little taller than Kate!
Ashley's first time trying to wake board. She is a trooper for trying. She will for sure get it next year.
Cory was sitting in his tent and just stood up and said, "OK I am doing it" and walked fast down into the water and dunked himself. It was funny.
Emily, Aubrey, Ashley and Kenadee on the tube. Riding the tube is always a blast!
Bree didn't last very long on the boat. She was out quick.
Noting like sleeping on Grandpa French lap
Logan, Spencer, Me and Ebony on the tube
There goes Logan ... and his pants!
The boys askin' for it
Spencer and his dad just after they got back from riding the tube. During their ride they hit a huge wave and Terry took out Spencer pretty hard. It was really funny. However just before that Logan, Adam and Terry were all dumped and Spencer was the only one that hung on. That's my hubby!
Bree and I hanging out on the beach
The girls just watchin' the boat show.
Ebony enjoying the nice weather.
Zach and Gage showing us their guns
This year Cory and Becky did a hula dance for their skit - it seems like with each passing year their skits use less and less clothes. (Year 1: Old West Year 2: Indians Year 3: Islanders... next year Nudest?)
Adam and Wendy did a cute contagious little Corn Dog jingle. Both Kate and I have sung it at least 10 times each day since.
Camera and Emily's group made us all look like goobers but at least we're "daring to do right"
We were the 3 Little Pigs but I added some sass and we rapped it.
Logan and Hannah played a little trick on Ashley as they pretended to have trained a buffalo.
Terry and Ebony told a funny story of a very smart dog.
Bree loves riding the 4-wheeler with her dad. She hyperventilates when he starts it up because she is so excited to ride.
We visited West Yellowstone...well at least the entrance with the shops so Cory and Becky could buy something
Let the Foosball tournament begin!
Playing a little ping pong while waiting for their turn to play Foosball
Two years ago we had a Foosball tournament and we were the champions. Well we did it again this year and we won again! We are the best Foosball team in the history of the French family and very humble about it!
The kids got some glow-sticks to play with on the last night we stayed. Of course it turned into a contest with who can hit that or ring this. Then we played some games put together by Cory and Becky. It was so funny as Becky would read something and we didn't understand her so then Cory would read it and it sounded like another language. We all laughed so hard we were in tears and had stomach aches.
Bree and Kate had a blast picking raspberries at Grandma French's house just before we left for Utah. Bree probably ate 20-30 - she loves them!
Another year down and it was a good one. Thanks to everyone for making it such a great trip. We had a great time with some great memories made.
