For the 4th of July weekend Logan and Hannah came down. They got here Thursday night and helped us move in. That night we couldn't figure out how to turn the AC on so luckily it was cool enough that we just opened the windows. It was a good idea until the next morning when our whole house smelled like a skunk. We kind of live in the country around some fields.
Friday afternoon we all went to Seven Peaks water park in Provo. Hannah, Kate and I spent most of the time in the wave pool while Spencer and Logan tried out all the water slides.
As we were driving home we passed the Provo Freedom Days Celebration and decided to stop for dinner there and then spend some time seeing the sights. Next year we'll be sure to bring some money to do all the fun things they had there.
On Saturday, the 4th of July, we got some lunch and made a quick stop at the Gardens at Thanksgiving Point. After which we all went back home for everyone to take a nap. When we all woke up Spencer and Logan decided to start playing with the fireworks in the backyard. They look innocent but don't let these boys fool you - they were blowing up toys, insects and even started a fire in the field behind us with an illegal bottle rocket.
After that little incident we thought it would be best to light the rest of the fireworks in the cult-a-sac with the rest of the neighbors. Hannah and I had front row seats for the show. Kate loved the sparklers!
Later that night we headed over to Thanksgiving Point again for real fireworks. However, the whole time we were wishing we were at the Green Belt in Idaho Falls watching the best fireworks show in the west. The fireworks kept Kate's attention for about 3 minutes and then she spent the next 25 minutes playing in the back of the truck.

It was a great Independence Day and I'm so grateful to live in this country!

Looks like a fun weekend. Where is the video of the fire Spencer and Logan started? That's what I want to see.
Looks like you guys had a blast on the fourth! How lame are we live so close and haven't gotten together for a barbecue even once! We REALLY need to get together for dinner or something really soon...
Sounds like fun! We did Seven Peaks on the fourth, too bad we missed you guys by one day. Congrats on the house! Idaho boys and fireworks are a very dangerous combo. Trust me I have four brothers and they try to build bombs every year.
