Kate Turns Five

My sweet and spunky girl turned 5 today.
She had her first real party and boy oh boy was it crazy!  Here's all the girls that came!
From Left to Right: Jenica, Abby, Brooke, Grace, Ayden, Allison, Hailey, Madi, Kate, Alyssa, Hannah, Xana
Front: Shae and Bree
We first decorated Princess foam frames and each of the girls got to take the above picture home with them in their new frame.
We played games like Kiss the Prince. The girls got to put on lipstick then get blind folded and spun around then they had to try and kiss the Prince.  It was funny who got a gitty about kissing.
Then sang happy Birthday and had doughnuts and chocolate milk - which was a big hit over cake and ice cream.
Last kate got to open all her presents.  This was the crazy part.  All 10 girls were so excited to give Kate their present to open and then they all wanted to play with the toy they brought.  It was madness.
Kate is so lucky to have such great friends and family.  She had such a wonderful time and even thought it was a lot of work it was all worth it to see her so happy.

Funny side story- One of the girls who came to the party comes from a poor family and didn't bring a gift.  Kate notice this right away when she walked into the house and didn't have a present in her hands to give to Kate.  So while we are waiting for the other girls to arrive we send the ones that were here downstairs to play and I hear Kate get all of their attention and say "raise your hand if you brought me a present".  The nerve.  I quickly called Kate up and told her that what she said was inappropriate.  The story continues to when they were opening presents and while all the girls surround Kate to see what she was getting the little girl that didn't bring anything for Kate grabbed a bag that Kate had already opened put a toy that Kate got from someone else in it and then handed the present to Kate. Ta Da!  Now this little girl gave Kate a present too.  It was the sweetest and funnest things to see.  Kate has no idea and just thought she got two of the same thing.
